"I've been there."
After close to three decades of a relationship with cannabis I got tired of feeling like I had this filter or muzzle over my daily life and my potential. I decided to begin documenting my process of quitting weed on YouTube, doing daily uploads starting in 2019.
I went long stretches, once up to a year. I'd get some increased clarity and motivation for a while, but eventually self-sabotage would show up again in different forms.
As I continued my journey of self-development I began to question what I had been taught about cannabis. I started researching the plant more seriously and learning directly from doctors and experts who work closely with it. It became clear: cannabis was never actually the issue. The real issue was what was happening underneath the habit.
My nervous system was running on old patterns. Stress responses, internal pressure, subconscious conditioning. Stuff that had been there long before cannabis. The plant wasn't creating the negative effects I was experiencing. It's a psychoactive plant. It was amplifying deeper dissonance in my life.
That's when things started changing for me. As I began working with my nervous system and how I was interacting with the plant instead of fighting my habits, cannabis stopped being the default response to stress or boredom. Simple shifts, daily practices, pattern interruptions, and becoming more aware of what I was bringing to the plant. That's what made the difference.
This led to an intentional relationship with it. And for over 3 years now I've worked with people across the globe who found themselves in the same place. I've watched them time and time again reach a space where cannabis becomes intentional instead of habitual, and fog is replaced with consistent clarity.
